Quatsino Economy

We believe that the key to Quatsino economic health is a balance between independent economies and joint ventures with outside partners. The Quatsino has a long history of economic involvement within our traditional territory on Northern Vancouver Island. Our forestry company is now in its 20th year of operation and continues to see its operating areas, volumes, and partnerships expand. Our fisheries program continues to grow, and our mining economy will soon see a significant increase through the formation of joint-venture projects currently in development. We are also studying the feasibility of several Quatsino tourism economies and hope to develop these in the very near future.
